A.D.D.E.R. Coffee Morning

We had a lovely friendly coffee morning/afternoon on Thursday 11th September in our office in Gateshead.coffee morning small.jpg

Theresa, Anne, Kathleen and myself got the coffee and tea on the go and Anne brought all the food, including salmon sandwiches, my favourite!

We were all ready for the start at 12 noon when our first guests arrived full of chat and experiences to share.

The food and drink was appreciated by all and our guests enjoyed looking around the office, looking at our new website and hearing about the results of our recent survey.

I had to leave at 1 p.m. as I was going off to Barcelona with some friends early the following morning, but Theresa told me that a few more of our guests had arrived in the afternoon and they too enjoyed the visit.

As you all know there is no such thing as a free lunch and that even includes events at A.D.D.E.R. and most of the guests who came along were persuaded to help in one way or another. Some agreed to continue the excellent support they already give to our peer support service in some of the dystonia clinics around the region and others offered (without much arm twisting!) to help at events such as the charity barrow in the Metro Centre, Gateshead.

All-in-all it was an enjoyable and successful day. Thank you to all who helped and to those who came along and supported our effort.

P.S. Who ate all those lovely salmon sandwiches?
